Stage Entertainment arrives in Italy in 2007 with the clear objective of replicating the business model present in the Netherlands, Germany, France, Russia, UK, US and Spain, conceived by Joop Van den Ende, founder of the Dutch multinational, or to produce "first class" musicals on the American model and keep them on stage, at the same theater, for many months / years; strongly consolidated model on Broadway and in London's West End and called “long running show”.
After a huge success with audiences and critics, thanks to productions such as "Beauty and the Beast", "Mamma mia!", "Sister Act", "Saturday night fever" and "Flashdance", Stage Entertainment decides to thank and reward its loyal public, expanding the artistic offer to 360 °. From the 2013/2014 season, the great musicals are joined by prose, cabaret, dance and live shows with an international flavor.
The point of pride that Stage Entertainment attributes to itself is that over the years, through its easy-to-understand productions, many new audiences have approached the theater. The main objective of "making culture", for Stage Entertainment, is to break down the psychological barriers to entry that theater often has to manage with its potential new spectators.
Spending an evening in a Stage Entertainment theater is fun and easy for everyone, as the shows represented are mainly theatrical transpositions of blockbuster films, beloved fairy tales or entertaining comedies. Speaking in figures: since 2009, the debut year of "Beauty and the Beast", the National Theater has welcomed about 1.5 million spectators, of which 25% had never been in a theater before.
This first result achieved represents the starting point on which to build quality shows for all audiences.
